Q8

كيو إيت

A distinctly Kuwaiti name visible on service stations, aviation facilities and energy operations far beyond the Gulf.

The story

Built in Kuwait,
understood in context.

Q8 is the international downstream arm of KPC. Its name turns Kuwait’s English shorthand into a global identity, while its operations show how a national energy company built a direct presence in overseas markets.

Kuwait Petroleum International was established on 3 February 1983, when KPC acquired most of Gulf Oil's refining and marketing operations in Western Europe along with BP's Danish operations. The Q8 brand launched in 1986, the same year the company established its London headquarters, and expanded through retail, aviation, lubricants and refining partnerships across Europe.
