Kuwait’s seventeenth ruler. Born in 1940, Sheikh Mishal served in senior security and public roles before becoming Crown Prince in 2020 and Amir in December 2023.

Born in 1953, Sheikh Sabah Khaled held diplomatic and ministerial posts and served as prime minister before his appointment as Crown Prince.
